The Pinckney Pirates Mock Trial team has been working hard this season, all the practicing is finally paying off. The team recently competed in the regional mock trail tournament, where they impressed judges with their confidence, teamwork, and courtroom skills. If you’ve ever seen them practice, you know they take their roles seriously.
Whether they’re delivering an opening statement or getting grilled on the witness stand, every Pirate brings something unique to the table. Mock Trial isn’t just about acting like a lawyer, it’s thinking like one and being like one.
Jennifer Rose, a social studies teacher at PCHS, serves as coach. “The students basically do everything that a lawyer does,” Rose explained.
