LTI Conference

On November 6, 2025, Pinckney High school’s student government sent representatives and their executive board to the LIT in Frankenmuth.

The LTI is a leadership conference where schools from all around Michigan come together to have opportunities to collaborate and talk about leadership and how it might look different at their school.

This year the theme of the day was science. Pinckney’s student government did activities based on problem solving and building communication skills with an underlying theme of science in each. When asked what her favorite activity was, Anabelle Tayon said “I liked the survivor room where we traded for resources and I learned that having people on the team is more valuable then having all the resources”

This was Pinckney’s first leadership conference with their new advisors Mr. Bayush and Mrs. Beaver.

Additionally, it was Mr. Bauysh’s birthday. Everyone made sure to show him some love by singing to him at lunch aswell as the other schools when they joined in.

Pinckney’s student goverment learned about new opportunities and even started up a new tradition of getting a senior ornament with the names of who attended it at Bronners after the conference!

Emily Ozias’s biggest takeaway? “Valuable skills about leadership to use in our student government.”
