STUGO Regionals

On Monday, January 12th, 2026, Pinckney’s student government traveled to Frankenmuth to compete in regionals.

Our president, Rylee Kroll, along with vice president, Grace Furlage, as well as two representatives from the club, Oumy Ba and Talya Woods, presented on our senior citizen dinner event that we host annually.

Each school presents a different event that they believe would be a good idea for other schools to maybe try to do in their community. Then the other students from each school go to the presentations and see if they could adapt the events they learn about to their own school to hopefully make each school as positive and fun as possible. Once each school has presented the students come together with their peers from their same school and vote on the top three presentations they liked. Once the votes are in the top three schools get to go and present with other schools in states in February.

Julia Garcia’s first impression of regionals was that she ‘’liked learning from other schools and getting to see how they do things.”

Grace Fulage said that presenting at states was “a very exciting and rewarding experience she loved being able to share our community with others.“
