The Pinckney Boys Varsity Soccer team season has come to an end after their district game. They lost to Mason 0-5.
Although the season came to an end, there is still hope for next year’s team.
The team had a record of 6-13-2 with an in-conference record of 5-6-1 led by Coach Sean Grace.
This year’s team was led by the team captains, Seniors Hank Wilson, James Uphouse, and Hayden Mandeville, and Junior Nash Gendernalik.
Awarded with all SEC 1st team were Collin Gardner and James Uphouse.
All SEC honorable mention were Jenson Burton, Hank Wilson, and Nash Gendernalik.
The Pirates who made the all-district team were Collin Gardner, James Uphouse, Nash Gendernalik, and Hank Wilson. The SEC sportsmanship was Hunter Romo.
Junior, Collin Gardner, had 32 goals, which is the 2nd most in Pinckney High School’s history. Gardner also broke the county record of goals in a game with 7 goals against Ypsilanti Lincoln. Seniors, Jenson Burton and James Uphouse, each had 4 goals for the season. Senior, Eric Knight, and junior ,Nash Gendernalik, each had 2 goals for the season. Senior, Hank Wilson, and freshman, Asher Moricz, had 1 goal for the season.
Leading the team in assists was Senior, James Uphouse, with 13.
Although losing 8 seniors, the future for the Pirates Soccer Team is still bright.
