On Saturday December 13th the Pinckney Pirates wrestling team hosted the yearly Season’s Beatings tournament.
The Pinckney Pirates were in a pool with Greenville, Fraser, and Parma Western. The Pirates started 1-0 after taking down Greenville. The pirates then went against Fraser and lost a close duel. After Fraser the Pirates competed against Parma Western and lost another close duel.
The Pirates ended third in their pool and were up against Howell B team next. After strong matches from Freshman Mason Buchanan and Senior Gage Mohl the Pirates beat Howell.
The Pirates competed for 9th-10th place versus Hertitage. The Pirates beat Heritage and ended their Season’s Beatings tournament by placing 9th place out of 16 teams.
Two of the Pirate wrestlers, Junior Christan Gregory and Freshman Mason Buchanan went undefeated on the day.
The Pirate’s team record is now 4-2 after this tournament and they hope to keep improving upon that.
