This week’s Student of the Week is sophomore, Maggie Podhola.
Maggie said that being chosen “feels nice that my classmates voted me,” and she appreciates the support from the people around her.
She shared that she did not know she was going to be Student of the Week and was “pleasantly surprised” when she found out.
Maggie also mentioned that although she does not feel she personally deserved the title, she is thankful that others thought of her and took the time to nominate her, saying, “I personally didn’t deserve it, but I appreciate people nominating me.”
Maggie stays involved in school by participating in “volleyball, basketball, and leadership.”
Being part of these activities helps her stay active, build teamwork skills, and stay connected with her school community.
One of Maggie’s main goals right now is “getting a 4.0 GPA,” which shows her dedication to academics and personal improvement.
Her advice to other students is “to work hard and not let people affect the goals you want to achieve,” encouraging others to stay focused and motivated.
