Every week at PCHS, there is a school-wide vote to nominate the Student of the Week.
The week of October 6th, Anabelle Tayon was nominated by her peers.
When Anabelle was asked how she felt being crowned student of the week, she replied, “It feels cool!! It’s nice to know people thought of me.” Something this simple can help students feel seen by their peers.
Anabelle demonstrates her school spirit by participating in numerous extra-curricular activities, including: field hockey, tennis, Act2, band, mock trial, DEI, We the People, and the Science club.
Anabelle was then asked what goals she is currently working towards. She responded by saying, “I’m working towards being the best version of myself I can be, which truly takes a lot of hard work.”
For the Student of the Week selection at Pinckney Community High School, qualifications go beyond high grades and extracurricular participation. The title is decided by fellow students. To earn a nomination, students must demonstrate efforts that extend beyond the classroom.
