2026 Grammys

On Sunday February 1st 2026, at Crypto.com arena, Los Angeles, at 8 p.m est. The 68th annual Grammys took place.  There were many performances and awards being given. The people that performed were Alex Warren, Olivia Dean, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, and Tyler The Creator.

Olivia Dean won the Grammy for best new artist.  Lady Gaga won two Grammys, one for best pop vocal album for her song ‘Mayhem’, and best dance pop recording for her song ‘Abracadabra’. Sabrina Carpenter had six nominations and did not end up winning  any Grammys. Tyler the creator won a Grammy for inaugural best album cover for his album ‘Chromakopia’.

Some fun facts about the 2026 Grammys are that they introduced two new categories, best traditional country album and best album cover.  Bad Bunny had the first ever entirely Spanish-language album to win album of the year.  Kendrick Lamar became the most-awarded rapper in Grammy history with 27 total Grammys.  Trever Noah hosted the 2026 Grammys for the sixth and final consecutive time, tying a record for the most-hosted, non-musical artist.  The show marked a major shift without transitional staples like Taylor Swift or Beyonce in the top categories.

Alex Warren during his performance had a malfunction with his earpiece.  He started a little off beat but still handled it very well for his first time at the Grammys.  He was hearing an echo of his song the whole time and thought that taking one side out might help but it didn’t.  He was still able to get back on track by the end of the song.

Bruno Mars performed one of his brand new unreleased songs.   Justin Bieber performed one of his songs called “Yukon”. Sabrina Carpenter performed the song ‘Manchild’, Tyler the Creator did a mashup of his two songs “Thought I was dead” and “Like him” He also performed “Sugar on my tongue” from his 2025 released album.  For Sabrina C performance she transformed the stage into an airport and really set the pilot theme.  During Justin Bieber’s performance he decided to strip down and make his performance more intimate.  Tyler the creator transformed the stage for his performance into a dramatic car crash scene with a gas station and a red Ferrari.

There was also an analysis of red carpet looks, including standout high necklines.  There were also various artists that spoke up for immigrant rights throughout the evening.  The 68th annual Grammys according to most was one for the books.
