On December 17, the Pinckney Pirates faced off against the Chelsea Bulldogs in a hard fought basketball game at Chelsea High School. The Pirates showed determination and resilience throughout the game but ultimately came up short, falling to the Bulldogs with a final score of 59-50.
The game stayed competitive, with both teams battling. Chelsea held a slight rebounding edge at 29-19, which helped them get extra chances. Still, the pirates stayed within reach and continued to fight.
Offensively, Owen Zylka led the pirates with 16 points, providing steady scoring. Jace Carlson added 14 points, helping spark the late run.
Despite the loss, the Pirates showed heart and effort until the final buzzer. Pinckney can take positives from this game as they move forward in the season.
