PCHS Halloween Costumes

Halloween is just around the corner.  That means, it’s time to start thinking about costumes.

A lot of students, at Pinckney Community High School, are keeping it simple by wearing costumes from new movies that came out this year: Superman, Lex Luthor, and even Krypto the dog!

Those aren’t the only superheroes the students of Pinckney High School are going out with.

Out of the twenty-eight students I interviewed, 21.4% of students are dressing up as superheroes.

On such a scary holiday, superheroes aren’t the only thing that comes out at night. Of the twenty-eight students, 14.3% of them are going out as monsters and horror icons, example: Jason Voorhees, Annabelle the Doll, and many other horror icons and monsters.

Horror icons aren’t the only icons going out this Halloween. Many students going out are going as famous people from all different kinds of media, similar to the horror icons. 14.3% of Pinckney High School students are going out as people from pop culture. Students are dressing up as musicians, basketball players, and movie stars.

Unique costumes are what make such an interesting community. Seeing people come together and use their imagination to become whoever they would like to be, without fear of being judged, is truly a mystical experience.

Speaking of “mystical experiences,” 10.7% of  Pinckney students are dressing up as characters from Disney movies and shows. Many students are going out as princesses and beasts!

Some of these students are even dressing up in groups. Students are dressing up as the three witches from Hocus Pocus, while others are dressing up as the Queen of Hearts.
